If bureaucrats stop doing acts of work to impress the politicians in command and start doing work for the public for which they are appointed and paid, then the progress of the country will become much better and more convenient. 

The book "Heart Quake" by K.Vijayakarthikeyan is a political+medical thriller that starts with the protagonist Vikram Kumar who dares to expose the home minister of the UP, Rudra Partap Rathod when he comes to his training institution. Vikram's sensational interview is a list of controversial questions which go viral on the Internet and all the media channels. Media Reporters start tearing apart the good image of the RPR and Vikram becomes an overnight hero in the country.

 

Afterward, obvious consequences happen with Vikram which happens in any other Bollywood or Tollywood movie which serves as a political drama. The villainous RPR is fuming in anger after getting copious humiliation which comes from Vikram, who is nothing in front of RPR and his position.

RPR wants to take vengeance on Vikram and for it, he conducts an attack on his family by his goons and in that cruelty, Vikram's sister lost her child in her womb. The cruel RPR won't stop here. He posted Vikram in his constituency Laxmipur, wanting to show him how powerful he is; and in front of him, Vikram is nothing but a public servant who dances on his commands. 

The story takes a turn when a sudden outbreak of Heart attacks happens in Laxmipur which shakes the whole city. A huge amount of people lose their life before reckoning the reason for the outbreak. Is that some kind of virus? Is it a bio-attack from an enemy country or some kind of terrorist organization is involved in this chaos? Or any other horrendous things are hidden behind this all God Awful drama. To know this all you have to grab a copy of it.

Review 

This book gave me all the masala movie vibes. It looked like a movie script to me, the way things went one after another though I felt that character development was very slow even the character sketch of some leading characters wasn't being written with scrutiny while it was necessary for a thriller book that you work on small details.

The language of the book was making it a fast-paced book but at the same time the slow story development made it all dull, the intensity was missing from the main scenarios of the book. 

Although the last 40% content of the book was an attention grabber and made it a page-turner which revived the interest. 

I learned about a whole different kind of medical technology which if slipped into the wrong hands became all lethal for human beings. 

I recommend this book to beginners for sure and even if you are a mature reader and get bored reading complex language books and you want to read something lite then you can grab this book too.
