My musings

You can't be called a complete book reader until you won't read the "Harry Potter" series. I started my book reading journey this year. Though, due to some mental health issues, I'm not able to read as much as I planned to read. So, I'm not done yet with my GoodReads reading challenge and I guess I might not be able to complete it. But before saying farewell to 2021, I want to start this wonderful series of Jk Rowling. Her writing in this book is so great, for budding writers like me, it's an institute to learn.

So many literary devices have been used in the whole novel, but for me, the best is foreshadowing. I'm not in a mood to give you any hints because it can ruin the whole fun and thrill for you If you haven't read this masterpiece yet.

What's in it for you?

There is nothing new I can say about this book that hasn't already been said before by others. "Harry Potter" has an unwavering fan following and readership. Though, whenever I thought of picking it, I envisaged that I might not like this book because it is for mid-grades. Great that, I shun all of my doubt because the book is as picturesque as the movie. And after binge-watching the whole series hundreds of times, reading it felt immensely beautiful. It always felt better reading than watching something.

The book has, talking chess pieces, singing hats, wandering ghosts, a giant three-headed-dog named Fluffy, a hilarious giant with a dragon fetish. (he is funny but in showing his different accent, the author made the language a bit gibberish and at the initial part of the book, it was difficult to interpret) goblins, unicorns, centaurs, trolls. But among these all things, the best was the match of quidditch, thrill and fun was the ultimate feast.

Characters

Hermione - the bossy, the intelligent, the witch who reads a lot. She is the topper of the class, always curious to ask questions, and zealous to answer. She is great( I want a solo book of her) It took a loss of fifty points(when she took the blame on her) to make the trio an inseparable team, who can go beyond the bounds to save each other and the whole Hogwarts.

Ron - He doesn't have much money but has a big family, and every member has achieved something great in the world of magic that he has an utmost pressure on him to prove himself and become as good as his other siblings. The best quality of Ron is, he might not know much magic and didn't do anything great in class to make an impression on teachers. But he is a great friend though, he is always there for Harry. And he is a great chess player.

Harry - The-one-who-lived, Harry is the kind of guy who never let the fam infect his mind and heart. He stays humble and kind towards others. He has that hero quality in him, not because he knows great magic, but because he has the heart to face his demons to save the other from the darkness.

In a nutshell

It's not just about the fantasy world of witch and wizards or the darkness and the light, this book is more than these things because the story and the writing has a soul to them. It is so picturesque and intriguing to read this book. The minuscule details and cliffhangers in every chapter set the ambiance so high, that in the whole course of the book, I never felt a tiny bit of boredom.

Recommendations

This is a book for mid-grade. If this is the only thing that is stopping you from reading this fantastic book, then shun that doubt off your mind and grab this book now. Anyone can read this masterpiece work of Jk Rowling, it has a rich but very lucid narration. Grab the book, it will definitely make your day wonderful.
