If you know nothing about the Dalai Lama and Buddhism or Tibitian Buddhism and you have a curiosity to know something about it then you should read this brief introduction. In this book you are going to know the whole process of choosing the next Dalai Lama, and how the Dalai Lama was reborn, again and again. And there is a bit of insight about the 13th and current Dalai Lama, his daily routines,schedules and diet. 

The rebirth thing was new to me. It was exceptional and unbelievable for me that the same soul of the first Dalai Lama is reborn from time to time. The book is more contained with information and less with wisdom and inspiration. 

There are many quotes of the Dalai Lama which made this short read a very valuable treasure. These quotes are very simple in language and still have a remarkable truthfulness and wisdom within.

There is a speech in the book which is addressed by the Dalai Lama where he tells his main agenda that he wants to spread happiness all over the world. He wants to make this world a place of love and hope where no one lies.

If you are not aware about the culture of Buddhism and their teachings then the teaching part of his speech is going to be a little tricky for you. Whichever part of teachings I was able to reckon was tremendously beneficial for the people who want to connect with spirituality or want mental peace.

This is a value adding book any age group who are eligible to read can give this short read a try.
