Take My Heart Forever by Arpit Agarwal Book Review |
You have everything which most of the human beings desire, hustle and hunt for, name, fame and the wealth of a fortune. And all of the above, you have a will to donate your own heart but still if these all things aren't enough to save that one person who's around your whole world revolves. What would you do to change the odds in your favor and what out of the box idea would you employ to save the life of your beloved? How out of the odds you would perform a task, a duty and a promise which is life threatening for the person who dares to do it.
Siddhartha is the guy with the egoistic, ruthless attitude towards the people around him and he has an agenda to win everything in his personal and professional life. He doesn't care about what people would talk about him or if his ruthless behaviour is offending someone. He doesn't give any attention to these things until there is some gain in them for him. One and only thing which he cares about that's winning and winning only. It doesn't matter to him what the odds are, eventually by hook or crook. The triumph always kisses his boots.
Rahul - His life revolves and exists around only two things the most, first is a gift from his mother and the last reminisces of her, a premium handmade leather cover diary where he writes journal to his mother. Second is the secret of his survival in a boring place which is flirting. He is a bit racist only scans for beautiful and gorgeous girls wherever he goes. He can flirt even in the middle of a war and even up in the sky while flying. He is an opulent and one and only child so he can easily live on these things but he knows doctoring. He has his medical degree from a New York University and now he is practising in India at 'Christ Care Hospital' Mumbai. He is a pro womanizer but an amateur doctor which is a red alert for the patients of the hospital if he doesn't take his job seriously.
Suchi - Neither she has a hunger to win or compete with others to live over the top nor her hormones are out of her control so she has no need to flirt with any other person around her. A plethora of young and old patients are in love with her dropped dead gorgeous beauty but she doesn't give anyone a fling. She loves and respects her work and always is serious about her duty. Her million dollar smile is a free of cost remedy for her patients in the hospital; her polite and calm nature makes her even more beautiful. She has a golden heart and no filter beauty anyone can fall for her or take a leap.
A romantic cover and catchy title of the book, "Take, my heart forever" and three poles apart characters of the story which mention in the blurb can give only one hint that, this book is going to be a typical triangle love story though that's not the whole truth as there is a bomb blast, A PLI and a life threatening surgery. There is not one but so many messages are enlightening by this story of love, passion , profession , friendship and sacrifice. Grab your copy today to know everything.
Cover
The book Take, my heart forever has a very fascinating photographic cover which has a couple and rose which indicates that it's a typical love story cover which in my opinion isn't apt for the story of the book. It could be better if the cover was inspired by the story. After reading the whole story, if the cover isn't resembling the story or not reminding you something about the story then that's not a good cover.
Title
The title 'Take, my heart forever' is at least better than the cover and goes with the storyline till the end of the book. The word heart in the title has its emotional and revolutionary meaning in the story which makes the whole title an apt choice for the story.
Storyline
Take my heart forever by Arpit Agarwal is a book of love, passion, profession, social obligation and revolution. Mostly the story of the book revolves around the three characters of the book Suchi, Rahul and Siddhartha.
The story starts with Siddhartha the famous lawyer of the country who never loses a case; He is a charming tall dark handsome guy with an egoistic attitude. He is a winner inside the courtroom as well as outside. He is a malignant and corrupt lawyer; supporter of wealthy and powerful people but he never oppresses the weak or poor as back in life he was one of them. If he takes a case in his hands he would ensure his win by his twisted plans and tactics. He has no code or integrity in him; he adores money only. It doesn't matter to him if you're a corrupt hooligan or you are right or wrong. If there is a possibility to win in his viewpoint he will take the case. Siddhartha is an anti hero of the story and his character's attributes justifies his acts. He does hateful and ethically wrong deeds in the story though his tactic and persona makes him a phenomenal character of the story.
The Take, my heart forever story is about professional duty and social obligation. There are two major and most essential professions of any country which are portrayed in the story through the main characters of the book. Law and Medicine are the substantial departments of the country and if the people who are in this field try their best to change the country they can. They can be the architect of the human world to make it a better place if they focus on their duty towards society. And the ray of hope in this story is the character of doctor Suchi. She has a golden heart. She tries her best to help people around her as much as she can.
But everyone isn't privileged enough to pay the bills of a famous hospital which charges more than some people's yearly pay grade; for people like them Suchi is a guardian angel who every Sunday gives free treatment to unprivileged people. People who don't have money but have diseases which need a cure after all life weighs more than anything. If all understand this simple way of life the picture of the world looks more picturesque.
Doctor Rahul's character is for the balance between the Suchi and Siddhartha's character. Rahul is a mixture of both. He is a good human being but an amateur doctor. But his flirting nature brings fun and romance in the story which makes the book a perfect blend of emotion and entertainment.
When Siddhartha, Rahul and Suchi three of them intertwine with each other by the play of destiny; love, friendship, and a bit of jealousy blooms in the Paradise. Suchi's good conduct and viewpoint rubbed off on Siddhartha's even if it was just to impress her he does some good things while doctor Rahul doesn't need to be good around her but still he helped her secretary by becoming a secret donor to raise the funds for her NGO, Sameep Foundation which aids underprivileged and needy people to be cure free of cost.
It shows how love molds people's hearts in a good shape and makes it tangible for each and every being around them. Suchi's goodwill plays an elephantine role in changing Rahul and Siddhartha's life drastically.
Characters
The author Arpit Agarwal put the character's best personal and professional profiles. Their conduct towards themselves and others are relatable and convincing though it feels to me that the author could make the supporting characters a bit more engaged in the story and he could also develop the back stories of the characters in a bit more expressive way.
Language and Narration
Narration is fast paced while the language is easy which makes the story plain sailing read. The author's research about law and medicine is commendable. He gives every possible minuscule detail to the readers of the book to understand the process and scenarios which go around so one can live them in their mind.
Review
Overall this 'Take, my heart forever' book is an entertainer. There is nothing anomalous or outstanding though the fun, Romance, and the message is very new which makes this book different among others. The idea of helping underprivileged people to be cured without costing them any penny is a good thought. It's not a new thought or concept but still it's an essential message which needs to be spread to the young people and doctors. The idea of Sameep Foundation is a revolutionary thought if more people from the medical department give a hand to it. I like the book for it's fast paced story and message and there is a lot of positivity in the story. So for me it's a lite entertaining book. The main highlight of the book is 'Organ Transplant' rule and The Mumbai bomb blast about which I'm not gonna tell you. Grab your copy and know it by yourself.
Recommendations
If you love to read love stories and like to live in typical bollywood masala movies then this book is for you. Even if you have an interest in the law and medicine field then you can keep an eye on it. You can learn a lot of good things from this book which may inspire you to do good in life. Bcoz one way or another good things always come back to you.
